"Secondly, man was hunting them [dinosaurs]. Back in those days they called them dragons. They killed the dragons for meat. There would be a lot of hamburger in one brachiosaurus. You could feed the village for a while, right? Or because they were a menace, or just to be a hero; 'I slew the dragon.'"
- Kent Hovind, Analysis of Kent Hovind

*** Post of the Month for May 2003 ***

"And my sister was playing around with an ouiji board, using a drinking glass for the pointer. She must have conjured up something because the chairs tipped over, the glass flew off the table and crashed against the wall. Then a green, demon looking face with red eyes and a yellow forked tongue moved around the walls and then disappeared."
- Arabesque, RaptureReady

"If God called for a baby to be killed (as He did, in the O[ld]T[estament]), then He has a good reason for it. Who gets to define what a 'good' reason is? He does. Why? He's the Creator of the baby, and of ALL the rules in the universe. "
- carmen, RaptureReady

"Hmmmm. Let's see. We have an atheist telling me they don't like Kent Hovind . . . and providing some atheist web sites [like AnswersInGenesis] that say more of the same. "
- Jason G, TheologyWeb

"I don't have to know who wrote it [the gospel of Matthew]. It is Scripture because whoever wrote it was divinely inspired."
- AnotherOldGuy, RaptureReady

"If God didn't want it in the Bible, He would see that it was gone."
- AnotherOldGuy, RaptureReady

[Violating the RR board rules by questioning a person's salvation] "In other words, if you believe in Purgatory, you are surely lost. You have not found Salvation because you do not completely believe. Turn from false hopes and beliefs. Turn to Christ, not Mary."
- Nate_03, RaptureReady

"Thanks Adam! Finally someone else who is unaffraid to speak out against the evil of the Catholic Chrurch's beliefs."
- Nate_03, RaptureReady

"Well, the problem with that logic is that YOU are the one that is claiming that purgatory exists, which as we all know is not Biblical; therefore, the burden of proof is on you, not the other way around."
- Chris4Christ, RaptureReady

"I've not met one person out of the hundreds of religions worldwide, that claimed to have a personal relationship with the God of all that is different from the God of Israel, or relationship with any god - unless they were demon possessed, and in serious need of psychiatric help."
- Josephus, ChristianForums

"I AM SORRY FOR YOU. THE SCREAMING REGRET ........WITHOUT END.... ALL THAT COULD BE YOURS....AND YOU SCOFF"

"Even people in their mother's wombs in some way, shape, or form decide to follow God or not."

*** Post of the Week for May 25-31, 2003 ***

"I'd say if a thief causes people to starve, [cutting] a hand off is a merciful retort that keeps others alive."
- jpholding, TheologyWeb

"Abortion is murder, the penalties should be the same regardless of the age of the vicitim. As far as leaving the country, those people get off scott free, as they do for any other crime which is a crime here, but not there. Those who 'assist' in murder(doctors, nurses, receptionists, owners of the clinic, parents, boyfriends, etc), should get the same penalties as those who assist in any other murder - the death penalty or life in prison."
- Susanann, The Straight Dope

"I definitely prefer execution [as a punishment for abortion], because the cost of imprisoning 30 million baby murderers for life, would be in the trillions of dollars. Perhaps many states who dont have the death penalty, would change and reinstate the death penalty under the staggering costs of imprisoning so many doctors, nurses, and women."
- Susanann, The Straight Dope

"I see no exceptions for those who were raped, or who's life is in danger(except in those cases where the child will surely die anyway - very very rare(and in those cases, a governors pardon is in order)."
- Susanann, The Straight Dope

[Arguing that God has a white beard] "The reasoning that I used is this: God made man in His image, and men, naturally, grow beards; Jesus took on human form as a Jewish man, and ascended to Heaven in the form of a Jewish man; it was a DISHONOR for a Jewish man not to have a beard - therefore, Jesus had a beard during His ministry and also after His resurrection, and when He ascended to Heaven (it can be assumed that Jesus has kept the appearance with which He ascended, excepting that His hair is all white now, apparently [Revelation 1:10-16]); it can be assumed that if Jesus' HAIR is all white, His BEARD is also; God the Father is said to have hair "like pure wool" (Daniel 7:9).

Therefore, it is most likely (almost certain) that God has a beard (it is practically certain that Jesus has a beard), and that it is white. We do know, though, that both God the Father and Jesus have hair white as 'pure wool'."
- Godsword, FStDT! Guestbook

"There will be all sorts of activities, music, fellowship, fine dining, sights to see, playing with animals/pets (most likely), discovery, creative activities (art, etcetera), and enjoying God's presence and fellowship unhindered by sin. (I also happen to believe that there will be sex in Heaven, though no marriage [there will apparently be no reproduction].) Of course, sinners [i.e. non-Christians] love sin, so for them it most likely wouldn't be all that appealing (no adultery, no lust, no rape, no murder, no stealing, no lying, etcetera)."
- Godsword, FStDT! Guestbook

"Let's get a couple of things straight (and at the risk of sounding fanatical) - neither I nor nor any of the other Christians nor you nor any of the other atheists have the right to disagree with God. You can make a claim to that right, but you cannot philosophically justify it b/c all human rights flow from Him (I don't expect you to understand that argument, either).

Second, I seriously doubt you would personally be put to death. If the [theocratic] laws were passed, you (and many others on this channel), would probably silence yourselves. The few that didn't would be executed, and then the wholesale blasphemy you and your kind commit would stop."
- Sam Krishna, Errancy Archive

"But if you were executed, you would deserve it. So would Farrel[l Till], so would Mike, so would Greg, and millions of others. So would I, and any other former blasphemers. That's the indictment the Bible makes against us all - but there is forgiveness in Christ."
- Sam Krishna, Errancy Archive

*** Honorary Post of the Decade (the 1990's) ***

"Guess what? I'm not happy with the ethical code the Bible demands. I'm not happy knowing I have to work toward restoring a society where people like you would have to be executed. I would *love* to let people live and believe whatever they wanted. But they can't. God doesn't allow it. And he demands every Christian, including Gryph, Roger, and Adam, to go along along in making this ethical lawsuit against you and your kind. "
- Sam Krishna, Errancy Archive

[Editor's note: Sam has since, thankfully, disavowed Christian Reconstructionism. An email dated Saturday, July 26, 2003 was received by the webmaster and states:

"Hi Allan,

This is 'Sam Krishna' - the guy who won 'Honorary Post of the Decade (the 1990's)'.

Ouch. Yeah - reading that, that definitely sounds like me from 1995. All hot-headed, Pure Christian Reconstructionist, 'ethical lawsuit', etc.

I want to apologize to you and anyone else I offended for making those comments. I definitely believe that 'Dominion Theology' is *A Bad Thing* and I tell people about that now. I was going through a particularly rough time in my life when that stuff came from my keyboard. I was wrong to say that - even Biblical truth and theology is quite a bit more nuanced, shaded, and subtle than Dominion Theologians would have you believe.

While this email is not a repudiation of Christianity, per se, it is a repudiation of the volcanic fundamentalism of my youth. I hope you'll post the entire text of this email as a postscript to the 'Honorary Post'.

Sincerely,

Sam Krishna" ]

"It's time to stomp out atheists in America. The majority of Americans would love to see atheists kicked out of America. If you don't believe in God, then get out of this country.

The United States is based on having freedom of religion, speech, etc., which means you can believe in God any way you want (Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, etc.), but you must believe.

I don't recall freedom of religion meaning no religion. Our currency even says, 'In God We Trust.' So, to all the atheists in America: Get off of our country.

People like Gail Pepin (The Chronicle, Oct. 11) have caused the ruin of this great nation by taking prayer out of our schools and being able to practice what can only be called evil. I don't care if she has never committed a crime, she is the reason crime is rampant.

To The Chronicle, please do not give atheists a voice. You do more harm than good."
- Gloria "Wendy" Ray, Augusta Chronicle Opinions

"Wasn't the Bible written in terms of truth? If the Bible, written by God, has a geocentric view....then maybe it's truth. Just a thought"
- riZon, ChristianForums

"Those who don't believe in a geocentric model....may I ask why?"
- riZon, ChristianForums

"I'm just trying to get a general concensus about why people believe what they believe in. Is it because that is what is taught? Is it because the media pushes it? Is it because it goes against the Bible?"
- riZon, ChristianForums

"From what I read, especially from sites previously posted in this thread, I would seriously question the popular view of a heliocentric model."
- riZon, ChristianForums

"All you have to do is do a little research. There's much more evidence than that. Visit the links previously posted in this thread (i believe one of the first few posts). Oh yea, and Prograde and Retrograde motion, as previously mentioned, can be explained with a geocentric view. That is talked about as well in those websites."
- riZon, ChristianForums

"Either you get it, or you don't. There is no sense trying to convince someone of this. Everyone will know the truth shortly after they die. I just wish we could capture the look on their faces on film!"

"Just a few days we were involved in an exorcism where we called God's Angel to assist us as we battled an evil spirit hell-bent in battling us. The demon we were dealing with was extremely violent and had attacked me so we asked God to send an angel to restrain this spirit. Within minutes the Angel pinned the demon to our couch and the demon was immoblized. The evil spirit was extremely frustrated with the fact that he couldn't move as God's Angel restrained the demon. What power these Angels have and I thank God for them."

"Science is devoted to attempting to steal G_ds power from him. In the arrogance of man, they think that they are his equals and science is their atheist tool to dethrone him.

Scientists are the high priests of the devil and you appear to be his willing congregation, all of you.

By trying to call G_d a lier by doubting his word and believing Darwin and Hawking over Peter and Paul you exalt mans wisdom over G_ds and Satan laughs. You stupid atheists turn the truth around like your master and pretend you are so wise and we are stupid because your public schools think so too. I am not going to go to university too learn the devils lies, A bible college will be my wisdom and I will no all that is right for a man to no."

"The greatest minds in science are christian. They have always been christian. They have known the material limits of their wisdom. The lesser scientists and the braying dogs dont know their place and howl at the wind. Who cares what science declares anyway, it is a false idol. Religions are false, all of them, even your scientific one."
- Lord of Lords, Biblical Pitfalls

"You dont understand the atheistic lies of scientists and you wont understand the explanations for dummies that answers can provide. What hope have you? The answers are by qualified scientific experts, their qualifications recognised by secular and spiritual authorities alike. Scientific journals are for atheists, christian scientists dont even get a look in with their findings."
- Lord of Lords, Biblical Pitfalls

"What a scientist discovers, another proves wrong. Stupid atheists never learn. Einstein and Darwin had mental defects that are discussed widely on the internet, look it up. Newton was a fundamentalist Christian, he is undeniably the greatest and most pious scientist that the Lord has ever risen up. His work was devoted to proving the bibles truths.

If you think your religion of science has any enduring answers for you all you need to do is look at its history. It is just the religion of atheists. All religions are false, run by satan to ensnare the minds of fools like yourselves. They are lies and they are false."
- Lord of Lords, Biblical Pitfalls

"I have been told that a pastor actually became athiest (second hand story) after being shown the number of 'murders' God committed in the OT.

Now obviously its His creation and He will do with it as He sees fit. I say that if you have a problem with God killing, be sure that you stay in His good grace."

"Another problem is that one of the ideas behind macroevolution is competition, or survival of the fittest. Different animals in a species compete for food, and whoever is the fittist lives, creating a stronger species. However, many animals are part of a symbiotic relationship which is the opposite of competition. Also, many animals live together and hunt in packs."

"I have read a marvelous little book that explains how the enite Universe could have been made, in a mere six days, and still account for many things that evolution doesn't.

For instance, the red shift. How do you explain the fact that it appears as everything in the universe is moving away from us?"
- Elif Tymes, HomeschoolDebate

"Excuse me, what evidence are you talking about? There has not been even .0000000000000001 % of evidence supporting evolution (the one which says we all 'evolved' and the world happened by chance)!!!!!! And if you look at the facts every stinkin' piece of evidence 'evolutionists' use to support evolution is actually supporting creation!! And did you know that all the theories and proofs that scientists have put out in the world that say evolution is real, have been disprooven!"
- Giggle, HomeschoolDebate

"I do believe that God created the world. And if you took the whole picture then you could see that there are still monkeys that die monkeys. And there that people don't turn into ferns. (Ferns have the highest chromosome structure, and if we were really "evolving" into the highest and most integigent(sp?) creatures on earth then we would eventually become ferns!)"
- Giggle, HomeschoolDebate

"Now, I don't know why you want me to 'proove you wrong' when you haven't even established that you're right! But I will do my best to explain 'why we would expect a more 'highly evolved' organism to possess more chromosomes.'

Okay, first of all, if we Evolution then we would expect that the most 'highly evolved' creature would have the most chromosomes. Right? Then it would be logical then to conclude that, if we are truely 'evolving' then some of us would be ferns, since we would get more complex the more we evolve."

Um, have you ever heard of a thing called dirt? Well, there's sure a lot of it under all these platelets. Infact, it goes all the way down to the bottom. Oh know! I know that Jesus said ' let he who without sin cast the first stone'. I am without sin today. Every day I ask the Lord for forgiveness for my sins and I try not to reoffend commiting the same sins over and over.
